Aislyn McNamara is a student double-majoring in Environmental Science and Political Science at Barnard College of Columbia University and serves as a policy analyst on the organization's federal policy team. Deeply passionate about environmental policy and sustainability, she plans to pursue a career in environmental law.
A dedicated environmental advocate, Aislyn has a strong foundation in field research. Prior to her time at Barnard, she spent nearly three years as a Phenological Data Research Intern with the National Park Service, where she monitored weekly growth pattern shifts across 50 native plant species.
At the heart of Aislyn's work is a fundamental commitment to leaving the world better than she found it. Whether through hands-on ecological research or policy-driven advocacy, she is motivated by a desire to create lasting and positive change for both ecosystems and local communities.
