Help shape the future of ocean and environmental policy. We're looking for passionate students ready to do real advocacy work.
Policy Analysts at Saving the Sea play a vital role in developing, drafting, and advocating for environmental policies. As part of our mission to make tangible changes through legislation and advocacy, Policy Analysts are responsible for writing policy briefs, drafting proposed legislation, and crafting op-eds to engage the public.
We place analysts on one of three teams — Local, State, or Federal — each tackling a different dimension of environmental policy. You'll work collaboratively with a small team of fellow students, guided by our executive board.
We welcome students at any stage of their education who have a genuine interest in environmental policy, advocacy, or research. No prior experience in policy is required — just curiosity, commitment, and a passion for making real change.
Beyond policy, we recruit passionate people in operations, finance, DEI, graphic design, and communications. These roles are just as essential to our mission. All positions open for recruiting in May 2026.
Applications for our next cohort of Policy Analysts open in May 2026. Fill out our application form to be considered for placement on a local, state, or federal policy team.
