Anahit Karapetyan is a Biochemistry major on an accelerated pre-medical track at the University of Southern California and serves as the Vice President of Operations for Saving the Sea. Inspired by a family of scientists and a lifelong curiosity about the natural world, Anahit developed a deep passion for the chemical, biological, and environmental sciences from a young age. She is excited to contribute to Saving the Sea's mission by helping raise awareness and mobilize others toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Anahit previously served as Co-President of her high school's Environmental Club, where she led hands-on initiatives such as tree plantings and field trips to aquariums, museums, and parks. She collaborated with community partners and her school's publications team to promote environmental education. As the Vice President of Operations, Anahit applies this scientific rigor to scale the organization's statewide conservation initiatives and community partnerships. Fluent in five languages with a background in international translation, Anahit leverages her multilingual skills to expand global sustainability efforts and cross-cultural environmental advocacy.
