Daniel Levashki, an engineering student based in South Jersey, currently serves as the Local Policy Director at Saving the Sea. Daniel leads a team of students in driving community-based ocean conservation by collaborating with local policy leaders, drafting environmental research, and mobilizing solutions to implement sustainable environmental policies. Daniel has always had a passion for environmental protection and advocacy, organizing his first community clean-up in middle school. Now, he serves on two environmental commissions in his hometown, working on local environmental policy.
Outside of Saving the Sea, Daniel is a national officer for SkillsUSA, developing student leaders and driving the future workforce. In his free time, he is working to publish a children's book focused on protecting our oceans. Daniel is excited for the year ahead and looks forward to meeting the new policy analysts and building connections.
