Esther Park is a senior at Crescenta Valley High School who serves as the student commissioner of the Glendale Sustainability Commission. Thoroughly involved in her community, Esther values the merit of sustainability, especially in its relation to youth engagement.
As a local policy analyst for Saving the Sea, she plans to address gaps in sustainability education within her community. To serve her passion, Esther has led presentations at Rosemont Middle School and at Glendale Earth Day to educate younger generations about environmental health. She is wholly committed to strengthening sustainability through the power of learning.
Esther has been conducting environmental science research for the past three years, in which she has placed 1st at the national level in SkillsUSA. Beyond awards, she hopes to further her research at Saving the Sea to create reputable, impactful policy proposals.
