Gargi Singh is a Public Policy major at Cornell University, with double minors in Business and Law & Society, bringing an interdisciplinary lens to the intersection of environmental science, regulation, and policy. She serves as the State Policy Director at Saving the Sea, where she leads research and policy initiatives aimed at protecting marine ecosystems.
Gargi's passion for environmental advocacy began in childhood, shaped by a nature-loving household and frequent visits to aquariums that sparked her curiosity about the natural world. That curiosity grew into a commitment to action throughout high school and beyond. Over the years, she has been deeply involved in community-based projects focused on environmental restoration and youth education, leading tree-planting efforts, gardening initiatives, and educational programs designed to inspire younger generations to care for the planet.
Gargi is excited to collaborate with fellow team members at Saving the Sea to advance sustainable, science-informed policy solutions. Outside of her work, she enjoys exploring local trails, volunteering in her community, and finding new ways to stay connected to the environment she is dedicated to protecting.
