James Owens

James Owens holds a degree in Public Policy from American University, with a focus on social policy. He has worked as a policy analyst for the Social Security Advisory Board and as a community organizer with the Hand, Heart & Soul Project. James is passionate about environmental justice and is excited to support the federal policy team at Saving the Sea in advocating for a more sustainable future.

Outside of policy work, James enjoys capturing moments through photography and videography, and he stays active in local community efforts. He believes real change starts with both policy and people.
