Khizar Qazi

Khizar Qazi is a Political Science and American Studies double major at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where he serves as an Eco-Ambassador coordinating civic engagement. He is most inspired by Baltimore's environmental inequities and aspires to combat these injustices through law and policy advocacy. He is committed to advancing environmental justice and equity, especially for the communities disproportionately burdened by unsustainable practices.

Khizar believes in public service as a catalyst for change, especially for cultivating sustainable environments. Outside of academics, he serves as a Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the University System of Maryland. He also spends time volunteering for local stream cleanups, tree-planting events, and grassroots campaigns committed to sustainability.
