Lucy Getacho

Lucy Getacho is a third-year student at the University of Virginia majoring in Government and Global Sustainability. With climate change more present than ever, she has felt inspired to help lead her school in a more sustainable direction. She is a part of Sustainability Advocacy at her University, a club dedicated to promoting climate resilience and community engagement.

To further her professional interests, Lucy joined Epsilon Eta, a pre-professional fraternity for environmental studies. Lucy is passionate about Saving the Sea because she believes meaningful policy change starts with local action and informed advocacy.
